Happy 100th Birthday Girl Scouts

This week the Girl Scouts will be celebrating their 100th Birthday. Many of our local troops gathered on Monday to sing Happy Birthday, say their oath and do their promise circle. The girls ranged in all levels and they had a great time. The weather was great for this occasion except for the mosquitoes; they were out in full force. Way too early for them. Friday was Build-a –Bear night for our troop. The girls all made a Brownie Bear then had a pizza party afterwards. This was another fun night for the girls and this time no mosquitoes.

We have our Visa's!!!

OK so today we received our Chinese Visa's what a relief. Last week we sent all of our Passports off to a Courier; it can be very very nerve racking. Just the “what if's” are enough to make you crazy. Well it has been a long week, waiting to get these documents approved and back. So another step down, now COME ON Immigration let’s get our final approvals!

Happy Birthday Seth!!

Second Birthday in China

Today we celebrated Seth’s fourth Birthday Spiderman style. We had a wonderful day celebrating with friends and family. Seth could not wait to cut into his Spiderman cake.
I look back at pictures from his second birthday in China and cannot get over the change in him. How much he has changed in two years is amazing.
Seth, we wish you a very Happy Birthday filled with love and happiness today and always.

Half Day From School + Warm Weather = Day at the Park

Today was the perfect day to go to the park. The weather could not have been any nicer, the kids had an awesome time. This gave them the opportunity to run around and get rid of all that cooped up energy. I was surprised how daring the little ones were, but I guess they just follow what the oldest one does. It was so nice to hear the laughter they all shared and the silliness. I am sure looking forward to taking them again.
I have not recalled a winter like this at all, don’t get me wrong I am not complaining. Though the kids are still hoping to get snow this winter to make a snowman. They only had the chance once this season and that was on Halloween. On our walk to the park we saw many flowers starting to sprout.. Tulips, English Blue Bells, Daffodils and some other flowers just emerging from the ground. I am so used to the yard covered in snow and not seeing a thing! So now seeing this I am so ready for Spring! It will be so nice to see leaves on the trees, birds singing in the morning ,flowers everywhere, green grass and seeing the kids all outside. Down side to this ALLERGIES start, guess one can’t ask for everything.

LOA!!!!

This evening we received unbelievable news. Our agency emailed us stating we have our Letter of Acceptance (LOA). This is a HUGE step as China has now accepted and approved our application and all the paperwork that went along with it. We did not think we would have our approval this fast,so many other people have waited months to reach this step.
The next step for us is to get final approval through U.S. Immigration. Our agency feels we could travel in the next 12 to 15 weeks.
