A Nice Evening with Friends and Smores

Last night we had a great evening with friends,it was their daughter's birthday.Seth and Amanda had a awesome time making smores,it was a first for Seth. Not sure if he enjoyed making them or eating them more.By the time we got home Seth was covered with marshmallow.Another reason to enjoy summer,kicking back and eating smores!!

Nothing like a summer afternoon with a very large ball and some close friends to climb inside with.Or racing around the yard with your brother who can't stand loosing, not a single race!! oh those lazy days of summer are here...

Six Years Today....

WOW it's hard to believe that six short years ago today our precious daughter was placed in our arms.How she has blossomed in to a fine, beautiful little girl.Always bringing that ray of sunshine to all who know her. We are wishing you a lifetime of joy and happiness!!!

Brayden's First Care Package

We are getting ready to send Brayden his first care package. Our agency has been really great in giving us the information needed to send these small gifts to our new son. Unfortunately we can only send a box no larger then a shoe box.They fear it might get "hung up" in customs if it were any larger, so we will probably send another one or two in the next few months. Always hoping he gets these little gifts.For Seth and Amanda we sent care packages and included camera's that we received on "gotcha day" loaded with pictures.We were sooo glad to get these treasures back. We also always include a small treat for the nanny's taking care of our child so everyone hopefully gets to enjoy a little something.

A little about Brayden Tian Cai

Brayden is currently residing in Nanyang City S.W.I., Henan P.R. China.
At the time of our referral he was 15.4 lbs and 24.8" tall. The Nannies report states "he is very active and single- minded".The report also states he is very happy and will let people hold him,"all you have to do is clap your hands,and he immediately understands your meaning". Tian Cai has a good temperament,and you will never see him angry. The Nannies also states he has a good appetite.
Brayden will turn 1 in July.

His given name is Dang Tian Cai
Dang is his surname,  Tian = Sky,heaven   Cai = Talent,ability  together "Tian Cai" means genius,gifted.

This all happened very fast,we spoke with our agency on a Monday and received his referral on Wednesday.
We wrote our letter of intent on May 28th and it was sent to China on May 31st. We received our pre- approval on June 6th.

Amanda and Seth are both extremely excited. Seth keeps telling us "We are going to China on a plane to get a baby brother." Amanda has told us several times she is very excited to once again to be a" big sister."

Brayden Tian Cai

Well we finally decided on a name for our new son." Brayden Tian Cai", I never would have thought that so much time could be spent on coming up with just the right name. Well we finally agreed, and Brayden it is!!

PA !!!!!!!!

WOW, as we sit here typing this, in a million years could not have thought that in less then a year of us traveling to China for our first son, we would be preparing for our second. We have decided to return to China for our newest addition. YES it's true yesterday we received our PA " Pre Approval" from China. I can't believe that last month we were only thinking " what if " and here we are looking at this cute little boy that is now part of our family. We have contacted our social worker who is going to be updating our home study so we can fill out our immigration paperwork and bring our little guy home. Our agency feels that travel could take place in about 10 to 12 months. So once again feel free to join us on this fantastic journey we are about to embark on to bring our newest addition home.
