Go Mighty Mights !!

This is Amanda's first year doing cheerleading and it is something she has wanted to do for a long time. There is a lot of dedication that must go into this, during the summer practice was 3 times week.After school began it decreased to twice a week. She practiced the cheers in all weather conditions and never complained. Amanda is never to busy to cheer,be it in the house or while we are out shopping she is always reciting one of her cheers.She has had a great season and is now getting ready for Cheer Fest which will be in about four weeks. She has already told us she wants to cheer again next year.

Our Little Gymnast

Besides football,baseball and car racing,Seth's newest interest is gymnastics.He is currently enrolled in our local gymnastics school.Seth has shown a huge interest and has made great progress. He sure gets excited when he knows we are on our way for another hour of fun at gymnastics.

"Lacrosse Camp"

Well it looks like Amanda has found a sport she really likes,besides doing cheerleading and gymnastics. We have enrolled her in "Lacrosse camp." She is very social so the comradery of a team sport is something that she will do well with. We took Amanda shopping for her own personnel equipment and of course she chose a pink stick.I think this is going to be a long haul sport.

Wow, another summer gone and another school year starting. Amanda you are growing up to fast,we can hardly believe you are about to start second grade.Wishing you all the very best as you start this new chapter!

South Beach Miami

We decided to take the kids to Miami Beach for the day,about a two hour ride from where we were staying and are we glad we did.We wanted to see all the South Miami Deco architecture and eat some "real" Cuban food.Seeing all the old buildings was fun but the best part was dinner. As you walk along South Beach there are hundreds of restaurant's all trying very aggressively to get you to dine with them offering half off dinners,kids eat free promo's, we happened to walk past this one restaurant and "nothing" not even a "would you like to try our food?"So we thought this has to be the place and were we right.The best dinner we've had in a long time. I put a picture of the name so if anyone reading this Blog is ever in South Miami and looking for some real good Cuban food you might want to try this place. Oh yeah, after we ate and were getting ready to leave someone told us that the restaurant was owned by the singer Gloria Estefan.

Juno Beach

One of our favorite spot's on the east coast is Juno Beach. After dinner one evening we went for a leisurely stroll on a pier.Still being on the Man-of-war alert,Amanda & Seth were counting how many they could see.I think we stopped at "50".As we were walking a storm was rolling in and boy did it pour!! We spent the rest of the evening in our hotel watching a magnificent lightning show.
